Mark Wheaton Music History

The story of my musical adventures…

My own musical contributions began with Johanna Went.

To hear the work I did with Johanna and others since 1980, visit my Bandcamp site.

Previously my role was to be the lead fan of some pretty amazing bands who never received the recognition they received.

With Uncle Cookie my role was to be the sound guy and close friend. I did not participate in the musical side of the equation, but I still feel that I was deeply involved in the creative aspect on some level.

With Chinas Comidas, originally I was also friend and live sound mixer. Eventually I became the keyboard player, but not being a musician, I learned each part directly by rote from Rich Riggins who was the key musical creative force. It was exciting that my brother Brock did contribute to the musical development of the band. And of course, the central creative force of Chinas Comidas was the unique talent of Cynthia Genser.
